My Story

My interest in food and nutrition began early. At just 10 years old, growing up on a dairy farm in New Zealand, I made the bold decision to become a vegetarian. My meals often consisted of generous servings of broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, and cheese sauce—although at the time, I had little understanding of the nutritional needs of a growing body. Being vegetarian wasn’t always easy - eating out often meant settling for a simple, rather tasteless meal. Years later, my journey with food took another significant turn when I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, requiring me to adopt a strict gluten-free diet and rethink my relationship with food once again.

Today, I’m passionate about understanding how nutrients function within the body and the powerful, synergistic benefits of whole foods. I also love creating healthy, delicious meals and witnessing firsthand how the right nutrition can support healing, boost energy, and improve both physical and mental wellbeing.

As a lifelong traveller, having lived in many countries, I’ve had the privilege of exploring traditional foods and observing how different cultures prepare, share, and enjoy meals. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the role food plays not only in nourishment, but also in community and culture.

Raising two children in a rapidly changing food environment—where convenience and fast foods are everywhere—has also presented its challenges. However, I’ve always encouraged them to stay curious about food and to understand how their choices influence their health and wellbeing.

I offer one-on-one consultations in a relaxed environment in Karori, Wellington, supporting people of all ages and a wide range of health concerns. I also present nutrition talks to staff at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, helping more people understand how nutrition can support long-term health and wellbeing.

Whether you're looking to improve digestive health, manage a medical condition, lose weight, improve your relationship with food, increase your energy, or simply feel better overall, a personalised nutrition plan can help you move towards a healthier, more vibrant life.
