About Jacquie

My Story

I am the mother of two gorgeous kids, who keep me very busy with sports, dance, music and school activities. I have travelled much of this amazing world and have lived in many different countries. After completing my nutrition degree in Australia, I returned to Wellington to live. My love for creating healthy, delicious meals has spanned many years and overcoming the challenges of a gluten free diet when I was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease 15 years ago has made this commitment stronger. I have been a vegetarian most of my life and have bought up the kids eating vegetarian food and have taught them the nutritional value of a predominantly plant-based diet.

While whole foods provide us with amazing nutrients that can heal and energise, there is a beauty and power in food as an experience that goes well beyond its nutritional value. Food brings people together and many happy hours are spent eating and drinking with family and friends. Therefore, my aim is to help people optimise their health while enjoying the social aspects of food. Integrating nutritional science with healthy eating and lifestyle, can achieve positive health outcomes.

I have a BHSc in Nutritional Medicine (with distinction) and a BA (Hons 1st class) in Psychology. I am an Associate Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of New Zealand. I tutor in Human Biology at the Faculty of Health, Te Herenga Waka-Victoria University of Wellington and present nutrition talks at schools and the University.

I look forward to meeting you to discuss your health concerns and use nutrition as a catalyst to bring about better health and wellbeing!
